It is normal for the treated areas to appear darker, larger, and more saturated up to 7 days following your session. Do not pick at or aggressively rub your permanent makeup. Doing so can result in less than desirable results such as loss of pigment, scar tissue, or infection. Avoid tanning of any kind, swimming, saunas, sweating, or exfoliating for 7 days following your service. This is essentially considered an open wound for the first week. Please follow and take seriously the aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing and lessen the risk of infection. Please do not use anything on your permanent makeup that was not provided or approved by your technician during the healing process. Please note: These services are considered tattoos so although numbing is applied throughout each service, discomfort/tenderness, redness, swelling, and sensitivity is a normal part of healing.
Cleanse eyebrows with antibacterial soap and rinse well with lukewarm water every other hour on Day 1. Use a q-tip or a clean finger to apply a thin layer of the provided aftercare balm after every cleanse or as needed on Day 1. Cleanse and apply balm 2-3 times a day as needed days 2-10. Keep brows well hydrated. Light flaking or patchiness is to be expected within the first week.
Tenderness/soreness, discomfort, and lymph drainage are normal reactions to the service.
Cleanse treatment area with antibacterial soap and rinse well with lukewarm water twice a day. Always pat dry with a towel or paper towel. Use a q-tip or a clean finger to apply a thin layer of the provided aftercare balm after every cleanse. Keep area well hydrated. Light flaking or patchiness is to be expected within the first week.
Extreme redness, soreness/tenderness, bruising, swelling, heavy lids, discomfort/irritation, pain, light sensitivity, possibly bloodshot eyes, and/or seepage/tearing are all normal reactions to the service. It’s advisable to sleep in an elevated position to help reduce swelling at night.
Day 1: Eyes will be swollen and perhaps a bit ‘crusty’ upon waking. The swelling will reduce after being in an upright position and from blinking and increased circulation to the area. Avoid heavy lifting, physical exertion, and crying. It usually subsides within 24 hours but can take up to 1-3 days as every person experiences different healing. Please do not wear contacts until discomfort has minimized. Please keep treatment area hydrated with a rice grain size of provided balm or Aquaphor. Applying a cold compress or ice wrapped in a small towel or paper towel as needed can help.
Use a q-tip to apply a thin layer of the provided aftercare to your lips. Reapply several times daily. It is essential to keep your lips well hydrated during the healing process. Wash twice a day with antibacterial soap and lukewarm water. Gently pat dry with a paper towel, and reapply aftercare balm.
Swelling, bruising, discomfort/tenderness, bleeding, and pain are normal reactions to the service. Please keep lips hydrated with provided balm or Aquaphor. Allowing lips to dry out will result in extreme loss of pigmentation and undesired results. Applying a cold compress or ice wrapped in a small towel or paper towel as needed can help.
